My Big Gay Italian Franchise

Andrew and Anthony are getting married…and everyone wants to “help”! My Big Gay Italian Wedding, created by three-time Emmy Award Winner Anthony J. Wilkinson, and soon to be a major motion picture, spins into a hysterical fiasco as everyone tries to have their way. From a saboteur ex-boyfriend to a loud, opinionated, outspoken Italian mother – personalities and cultures collide in a music and dance-filled extravaganza!

My Big Gay Italian Wedding premiered at the Actor’s Playhouse in 2003. Since then, a revised and updated version of the show played a benefit performance at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island, and then moved to St. Luke’s Theatre off-Broadway in NYC for a sixteen month run. During this run, the show hosted major celebrities to raise money and awareness for marriage equality and the Trevor Project. Since then My Big Gay Italian Wedding has become one of the highest grossing off-Broadway plays and has been performed in Atlantic City, El Paso, Omaha, Louisville, Los Angeles, Edinburgh, Scotland during the Fringe Festival, London, Hong Kong, and a UK tour that commenced in France.
